Louis F. Mancuso, Jr, 67, of Poughkeepsie, New York, was born on February 19, 1950 to Hattie (nee Davis) and Louis F. Mancuso, Sr. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, surrounded by family at Lutheran Care Center in Pleasant Valley, NY.
After graduating from Roy C. Ketcham High School, Lou joined the United States Navy in 1969 and served until he was honorably discharged in 1973. Following his time in the Navy he earned a degree in electrical engineering from Dutchess Community College, then began his career with IBM. He retired from IBM in 2000.
Lou is survived by his son, Gregory L. Mancuso (Kelly Gaudette) of Poughkeepsie, NY, as well three stepchildren: Sean (Leanna) Mansfield of Manassas, Virginia; Shannon (John) Rodriguez of Pleasant Valley, NY and Kara (Kevin) Haber of Portland, OR. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jake, Ethan, Jeremy, Sean, Cayleigh, Owen, Caleb and Colin, as well as his long-time companion, Jill Chamberlin.
Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A private service has been arranged through Miller Funeral Home.
