Francis Morano, 84, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on February 21, 2017 at the Lutheran Care Center. He was born on October 4, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of Vincent A. & Ethel Burns Morano, Sr.
He was the Grounds Supervisor at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie, NY for more than a decade and prior to that was employed at Western Printing in Poughkeepsie for 25 years. Francis was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his daughter and companion: Michele Morano & Kevin Quirk of Chicago, Illinois; son & wife: Michael & Brandi Morano of Las Vegas, Nevada and his grandchildren: Andrew Quirk, Ariana Morano and Emily Morano. There are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his long time companion of 37 years, Gertrude Sokol in 2017. His brothers: Charles, Vincent, Leonard Morano and sisters: Mary Schrieber, Ethel Bulson, Charlotte Netherwood and Cecilia Martin all predeceased him.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2017, 2-4PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son F.H., inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will take place Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10AM in St. Peter's Cemetery.
