Robin Elizabeth Gatewood-Carter a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, NY entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2017 at Mid Hudson Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 6, 1960 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Joseph Richard and Agnes (Cummings) Gatewood. She attended St. Peter's, St. Mary's and Wappinger schools and was employed as a CNA until she became disabled in 2002. Robin joyfully attended Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, Disciples Of Christ, Newburgh, NY where she was baptized on June 28, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Holly Gatewood and father-in-law Earl Carter. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Michael A. Carter with whom she joined in marriage in 2006. Children: Letia Parker (Michael Williams) and DeForest Gatewood, Grandchildren: A'Sharia, Nevaeh Williams the joys of her life, Sisters: Faith Dorcil and Dawn Daniels, Mother-in-law Katrina Carter, Sisters-in-laws, Gwendolyn McCoy and Deborah ( Kenny) McGowan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and faithful pets: Jo Jo, Princess and Scooter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Beulah Baptist Church, 92 Catharine St. Poughkeepsie, NY with a service at 11:00am.
