To my dear second Mom..... You have no idea how much all of your family and friends will miss you! As a kid growing up, I was always welcomed into your home and heart. I'm sure Carolyn and I added a few of those gray hairs to your head when we were teenagers! I loved every moment spent with you just hanging out and especially at family gatherings for Sunday dinner....and playing hearts!! And of course I am tremendously indebted to your cooking advice that was geared to my limited culinary skill: "Val, just cook everything at 350 for an hour!" To this day I can't look at a pineapple upside down cake without thinking of you. :) I'm picturing you right now with Dad and Jeannie in complete peace and bliss. Love you....Val
