Michael Howard Rosenberg, a longtime resident of Saratoga Springs, NY, died early Monday morning, December 26th in the Intensive Care Unit of Saratoga Springs Hospital. He was 67 years old.
Mr. Rosenberg was the son of the late Charles D. & Ruth Rosenberg of Poughkeepsie, NY. Michael was born in Vassar Brothers Hospital on February 8, 1949 the eldest of three children.
Always an accomplished student, Mike graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, Union College in Schenectady, NY and Albany Law School. He and his former wife Sharon Kerman Snyder had two children that survive him, Dr. Adam L. Rosenberg of Alexandria, Va. and Beth Oxborough of Sanford, Florida.
Mike loved being a father to his children and was often described as a big kid himself. Adam has 2 sons with his wife, Melody Reis, and Beth is the mother of 3 boys and 2 girls, with her husband Tom Oxborough.
Mike's grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride to him. Michael also is survived his sister, Blanche R. (Louis) Bergman of the Town of Poughkeepsie and their daughters, Carlie Diana Bergman of New York City, Helayne Bergman of Poughkeepsie and Robin Michelle(David) Katz of New York City. as well as his brother, Lawrence H. Rosenberg and cousin Louis H. Rosenberg, both of Poughkeepsie, NY. Cousins include, Howard, Barbara and Steven Glober originally of Valley Stream, NY.
He will also be missed by a large group of close friends in Saratoga Springs, NY, with whom he shared good times and bad. Mike liked to play golf, to sing, which he did quite well, and to share jokes, with which he had mixed success.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 2PM in Temple Beth-El Cemetery, Rt. 44, Poughkeepsie, NY. He will be buried close to his parents. Rabbi Daniel Victor will officiate. In Lieu of flowers Donations may be made to his daughter at Bcoxborough@gmail.com toward a special fund in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
