Condolence: I met Pete in the Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group we both attended for several years. What came through every month was his absolute love for his family, especially "his Audrey." Condolence: On behalf of the members of the Pirate Canoe Club I am sending our sincere condolences to the family of our cherished member Pete Sala. We all enjoyed his dedication to our club and his need to work. As far as we are concerned that was always his passion. We all will remember him on the John Deere mowing the lawns and enjoying it just as much as coming inside to pass the time. He never had a cross word to bear and was always a pleasure to talk to. All of us will miss Pete a great deal. Our prayers are with his family in this time of grief. May God bless you all.

Condolence From: Richard McHugh

Condolence: I pray for Pete and his family. Pete was a true patriot who fought for justice and humanity his whole life. He fought corruption. It was a sad day for the Town of Poughkeepsie when he decided not to run for Supervisor again in 1993. But the job took its toll on his health. A few years later , he told me it was the best move he made. His family gained by having him around. Pete continued helping his community right to the end. May a proper memorial be established.
