William R. Roundy passed away peacefully at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Friday, November 11, 2016, he was 90 years old. Born in Queens, NY on October 3, 1926, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Roundy. William married Dorothy Ackerman who predeceased him in 2002. A World War II Navy Veteran, he worked for Walbaum's in Queens, NY as a Manager. William will be remembered by his family as liking fishing, hunting, and camping; he also had a heartfelt love for aviation. Survivors include sons Christopher Roundy and his wife Donna of Poughkeepsie, NY and Richard Roundy and his wife Sarah of Brooklyn, NY. Also surviving are grandchildren Bryan, Kevin, Ella and Willow. William's son Christopher will always remember him as a loving father and friend. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Wm. G.
