Doris A. Dedrick, 87, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at The Pines in Poughkeepsie. Born in Beacon, NY on September 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Westwood and Harriett Kittredge Leek. Doris married Kenneth Dedrick July 15, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, and he predeceased her in 1985. Doris had been a member of Friends of Bill since 1987 and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Rock N Roll grandma when The Wolf was at WPDH Radio Station. Doris is survived by her children; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Pat Dedrick of Poughkeepsie, son Kenny Dedrick of Pine Plains, son Allan Dedrick of Poughkeepsie and daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Bernie Kitay of New Paltz. Doris is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Collabella of Highland and Donna O'Neill of Wappingers Falls, as well as her grandchildren Shannon Dedrick and Blaine Kitay and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was predeceased by her brother Walter Leek. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 4:00-8:00pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10:00am in the funeral home and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY.
