Obituary for Stanley E. ""Stas"" Turowski

Stanley "Stas'" E. Turowski, 96, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on February 21, 2021 at Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 19, 1925, the son of Martin & Leona Wilcenski Turowski. Stanley worked for IBM as a Building Administrator in Poughkeepsie, NY for 31 years and retired March 1, 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army in Europe from 1943-1946 and received 2 Battle Stars . Following his military service he was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E. #275 in Poughkeepsie, NY, Past Commander of American Legion #37 Lafayette Post, Member of the 40 & 8 American Post #37, V.F.W. #6916 of LaGrange, NY, IBM Retirees, IBM Quarter Century Club, Life member of P.A.C.C. #369, Polka Sportsmen, Moose Club #433 in Palm Harbor, Fla., A.A.R.P. and a Blood Donor for many years.
Survivors include brother-in-law William Frey, nephew Steve Turowski (wife Gayle), grand niece Erin Castiglione (husband Philip) great grand niece Noelle Castiglione and great grand nephew Paxton Castiglione.
He was predeceased by brothers: Alexander (wife Helen) & William (wife Terri) Turowski; sisters: Joan Frey, Theresa Taylor and Marion Turowski and nephew Reverend William M. Turowski.
Graveside Services will be March 13, 2021 at 11AM at the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY with Military Honors. Arrangements under the direction of the Wm. G.
