Brenda Phillips-Barker, 63, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away on February 11, 2021 in New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, N.Y. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 7, 1958 the daughter of Edward & Jean Smith Phillips. Brenda is married to John Barker who survives.
Brenda was a Teaching Assistant for B.O.C.E.S. in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #275 in Poughkeepsie. Brenda was a loving mother and "Nana", who also loved her B.O.C.E.S. family.
Survivors include her son: David (Dana) O'Dell of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter: Andria (Brian) Finnigan of Wappingers Falls, NY; brothers: William Phillips (her twin brother) of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Roger & Edward Phillips both of Long Island, NY and Joseph Phillips of Tivoli, NY. Grandchildren include: Shane, Kylin, Elias and Kason. There are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 1-5PM in the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
